About Us

Chapin Ambulance is a fully licensed Advanced Life Support ambulance service that provides both BLS and ALS units across Western Massachusetts. Chapin Ambulance provides emergency response, non-emergent transportation - along with standbys, psychiatric and wheelchair transportation solutions.

Chapin is owned by two brothers, Alex & Pavel Gut. Alex has been in EMS for several years and comes from a UMass background with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Pavel comes from over 10 years experience with several combined years in EMS Management & Fire/EMS. Together the two brothers hope to provide a new and satisfying experience for our patients and clients.

 

Pavel Gut

Pavel Gut is a state and nationally certified paramedic. He has many years of experience in the prehospital setting both in 911 and transfer services. Pavel has served different roles in EMS such as infection control officer, field training officer, CQI Coordinator and operations manager. He has worked both private EMS and fire based EMS.

 

Alexander Gut

Alexander Gut is a state and nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician. Alexander has been involved in EMS the last 6 years, and comes with experience as a field training officer and a BLS CQI coordinator. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors in Kinesiology.

All our EMT’s and Paramedics are state and nationally certified providers. These providers are trained in handling basic life support and advanced life support care. Additionally our staff is highly knowledgeable of the geographical area we provide service to. EMT’s and Paramedics are the backbone of any ambulance service, and we strive to provide the best possible care while abiding by state protocols to provide patients the best treatment and possible outcome in their time of need. Our providers go through extensive training prior to employment along with orientation, field training with the service and constant continuing education.

Chapin Ambulance additionally provides non-emergent stretcher transportation to hospitals and skilled nursing facilities for their patients to travel to-and-from doctor’s appointments and/or dialysis. Special Requests can be made to accommodate certain transports. Chapin Ambulance will also provide long distance transports if contacted well in advance and properly scheduled. Chapin Ambulance does not accommodate non-emergent bariatric patients. We strive to provide top-notch customer service to all our clients and aspire to have the chance to serve you.
