POSITION OPTIONS
Chapin Ambulance offers opportunities for Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and other operational support positions as staffing needs allow. Our providers and dispatch staff play an important role in ensuring that patients, facilities, municipalities, and community partners receive dependable service and professional communication.
We are looking for team members who are reliable, respectful, willing to learn, and able to represent Chapin Ambulance with professionalism in the field, on the phone, and within the communities we serve.
EMERGENCY
MEDICAL
tECHNICIAN
Chapin Ambulance utilizes Massachusetts and nationally certified Emergency Medical Technicians to provide Basic Life Support care during both emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls.
As an EMT, you will be responsible for assessing patients, providing care within your scope of practice, safely assisting with patient movement and transportation, documenting patient care, communicating with dispatch and healthcare facilities, and working as part of a professional EMS team.
EMTs must maintain a valid driver’s license, current CPR certification, Massachusetts EMT certification, and National Registry EMT certification. Applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate professionally, remain calm under pressure, and continue developing their clinical and operational skills.
A career as an EMT can be an excellent starting point in public safety and healthcare. Chapin Ambulance is committed to helping motivated providers gain experience, grow their confidence, and continue building their EMS career.
PARAMEDIC
Chapin Ambulance utilizes Massachusetts and nationally certified Paramedics to provide Advanced Life Support care during emergency responses, interfacility transports, paramedic intercepts, and other medically necessary ambulance calls.
As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for assessing patients, providing advanced care within your scope of practice, administering medications and treatments according to applicable protocols, communicating with receiving facilities, completing accurate documentation, and supporting the overall clinical quality of care provided by Chapin Ambulance.
Paramedics must maintain a valid driver’s license, current CPR certification, ACLS certification, Massachusetts Paramedic certification, and National Registry Paramedic certification. Additional certifications and experience are beneficial.

Dispatcher
Dispatchers are a critical part of Chapin Ambulance’s daily operations. Every call begins with communication, coordination, and decision-making, and our dispatch team plays a key role in keeping crews, patients, facilities, and partner agencies connected.
Chapin Ambulance operates a 24-hour dispatch center to support emergency response, scheduled ambulance transportation, wheelchair transportation, facility transfers, event standby coverage, and other service requests.
Dispatcher responsibilities include answering phones, receiving transport requests, dispatching crews, tracking unit status and response times, coordinating with healthcare facilities, communicating with field providers, requesting additional resources when needed, and helping maintain efficient daily operations.
Dispatch can be an excellent entry point into EMS, public safety, healthcare operations, and emergency communications. We are looking for individuals who are organized, professional, calm under pressure, able to multitask, and willing to learn.
